There is no greater subject in the Bible than salvation. And there is no greater need for a man than to understand their need for salvation and what must be done to receive salvation.
“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
— 2 Timothy 3:15 (KJV)
As you’ll see in the coming posts, the Bible gives us five wonderful works that can change our lives. The first work is the most important.
Salvation is the starting point of everything else. And God, in His mercy, gave us a Book that clearly shows us the way.
The Bible shows us the way of salvation.

Paul told Timothy that the Scriptures are “able to make thee wise unto salvation.” That means the Bible gives us the understanding we need to know:
• that we are sinners
• that we cannot save ourselves
• that God loves us
• and that Jesus Christ is the only Savior
The Bible reveals God’s rescue plan.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture points us to Christ. It shows us our need for forgiveness and God’s provision of grace. It teaches us that salvation is not earned by good works or religious effort, but received through faith in Jesus Christ.
We do not stumble into salvation by accident. We are led to it by the truth of God’s Word.
The Bible opens our eyes to see our lost condition, and then opens our hearts to see our loving Savior. It teaches us who Jesus is, what He did on the cross, and how we must respond in repentance and faith.
This is why the Word of God is so powerful — it doesn’t just inform us about God; it invites us to be reconciled to God.
Before the Bible changes how we live, it must first change who we belong to.
Salvation is the starting point of everything else. And God, in His mercy, gave us a Book that clearly shows us the way.
The Scriptures are not just holy — they are hope-filled. They lead broken sinners to a perfect Savior.
And anyone who opens God’s Word with a humble heart can be made “wise unto salvation” through faith in Jesus.
